fnatic, NiP top RC EMS One Group C

fnatic defeated all three teams in Group C, including NiP, and qualified for RaidCall EMS One Summer 2013 LAN finals. The Swedish giants struggled and lost to Team X as well, but still went through in second place.
Opening round saw Finn "karrigan" Andersen's fnatic upset the mighty Ninjas in Pyjamas with a 16-8 score on de_cache following a close 8-7 opening half as terrorists on the map picked by NiP with de_train also remaining in the pool.
Anexis opened their match with a 9-6 lead against Team X on de_nuke_se, who mounted a comeback to go up 13-11 in the second half. The Brits prevailed this time though, winning the final three rounds to clinch a 16-14 win.
In the second round NiP overran Anexis 16-1 on de_nuke_se, while fnatic powered by some great play of Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth beat Team X 16-8 on de_mirage_ce.

All four teams still had a theoretical chances to go through depending on the results of the final round, and both matches came down to the wire. Anexis had a 9-6 first half lead on de_mirage_ce against fnatic, but they only won two terrorist side rounds and eventually lost 11-16.
Thanks to that result, NiP needed only 7 rounds against Team X to qualify as second based on round difference. Markus "pronax" Wallsten's squad unexpectedly led the way throughout the match, and in the end even managed to take down the Ninjas 16-13 on de_mirage_ce.

Final two teams for the $35,000 tournament will be determined tomorrow when group D kicks off at 19:00 with Western Wolves, ALTERNATE, LDLC.com and iNation still in competition.
